Aboriginal Housing Office
The Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO) is a statutory body established under the Aboriginal Housing Act 1998 (NSW) to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have access to affordable, quality housing. It manages an annual capital works program and develops financial and resourcing strategies to support its mission. The AHO's vision is to ensure every Aboriginal person in NSW has equal access to, and choice in, affordable housing. Project Highlights:
Successful procurement on numerous design and construction housing packages across NSW.
Development and implementation of the Energy Efficiency procurement strategy including air conditioning and solar installation on AHO properties.
Providing procurement, facilitation and governance for the award of various Grant programs including Energy Efficiency, Social Housing Accelerator Fund (SHAF), Sector Capability, Property Management Transfers and Flood Recovery.
Development of the Asset Maintenance Services project and contract for the facilities management (reactive and preventative maintenance) on up to 1,000 properties per year.
